Well, where do I start with this review, how about fantastic! This bread truly is amazing, with a great balance of taste and texture. I have had a few sour dough breads in my time but this is outstanding with subtle flavors. It would be good to mention at this point that there is not a strong sour taste to the bread at all, just a beautiful hint that really highlights and complements the taste of what ever you put on it.

The bread is amazingly crusty on the outside with the texture of a good quality ciabatta on the inside. Lorentzen Bakery do a great range of breads but the one on review here is the olive & herb. I have chosen this because it’s a meal in itself, a great quick snack for any time of the day. My favorite way to have this bread is (as featured below) to toast it, when it pops out piping hot rub a clove of garlic on it then rub half a fresh tomato into it, a crack of salt and pepper and maybe a sprig of basil, then bite in and enjoy! It’s also fantastic with a glug of olive oil over too.

less than a minute after toasting and you have an amazing snack, crisp but moist bread with large juicy black olives within it, topped with a hit of garlic and tomatoes......wow! I love it and you should try it! If you fancy more of a plain type of bread, try their sesame seeded sour dough, another one of my favorites, I will review this over the next few weeks, but for now go try the olive and herb, you wont regret it!
